Boy Scouts of America

Thursdays at 7:30pm

Words we don’t hear so much anymore. They are spoken in unison every Thursday at 7:30 pm here at the First Presbyterian Church on Market Street in Sunbury. Our church is home to Boy Scout Troop 307 which was originally chartered as Troop 7 in 1926 and is still referred to as. The Scouts of Troop 7 enjoy learning about many of the skills so many have forgotten such as basic survival, fire building, camping, preparing their own meals in the wild and many more. Troop 7 also participates in local conservation and citizenship projects, while always finding time to go fishing or compete in a local Klondike Derby. Scouting is great fun and many of those who join will agree that in Scouting you will learn a different side of life and develop a skill set that in many communities has been long forgotten. Joining is easy.  A prospective Scout must be between the ages of 11 to 17 and can simply stop by the church during a meeting to hear more about Scouting. The Troop meets Thursday’s in the newly remodeled basement at 7:30 pm during the school year and at 6:00 pm during the summer.

. . . . Is not the bread that we break a participation

in the Body of Christ? We who are many are one Body, for
we all partake of the one loaf . . . .  1 Corinthians 10:16-17
